The Big Give Christmas Appeal 2024
One donation, twice the impact!
From midday 3 December to midday 10 December
Get ready to double your impact – save the date for our Big Give Christmas Challenge!
This Christmas, you have a unique opportunity to make twice the difference for families facing mental health challenges. From midday on Tuesday 3 December to midday on Tuesday 10 December, every donation made to the Charlie Waller Trust’s Big Give appeal will be doubled, thanks to our generous match funders!
This year, we're aiming to raise a total of £60,000, which will help us fund our Empowering Parents and Carers project.
Help us continue our vital work
The Big Give is a wonderful opportunity to raise funds to continue our crucial work. We would be extremely grateful for any donation you would like to make – and we’re delighted that it will be doubled thanks to the Big Give and our generous match funders.
Why your help is needed now more than ever
1 in 5 young people in England, aged 8-25, have a probable mental health disorder. That means millions of parents and carers may be facing worry, confusion, and often isolation as they search for the right ways to support their children’s wellbeing.
Our goal is to help those parents and carers by funding a suite of free, accessible resources – co-produced by parents and carers, for parents and carers – to equip them with the knowledge, tools and confidence to make a positive difference in their child’s life.
"Thank you so much for creating this course... It helps other professionals to connect with me as they see me as equal not ‘just a mum’."

Empowering Parents and Carers
"Speaking with someone who has lived experience and is willing to share really makes all the difference and helps you to feel like you are not alone."

Donations from this year's Christmas challenge will help us fund our new project, Empowering Parents and Carers. We'll be collaborating directly with parents and carers who have first-hand experience of supporting their children through mental health struggles. They will help us identify the issues and support that matter most to those in similar situations, and alongside our expert clinicians, co-produce a series of resources with positive, proven and practical ways they can help the young people in their lives.
Additional resources we offer
As well as the planned resources we're co-creating as part of the Empowering Parents and Carers project, we also offer a selection of free resources to help you support the young people in your life with their mental health. From posters and leaflets to our customisable Wellbeing Action Plans, all our resources are available as a digital download or printed hard copy.
